Part Time Routes

BP SCITT offers a part-time teacher training programme delivered over two academic years.

Trainees on this route spend two days each week in school and one day undertaking training. This provides opportunities to develop classroom experience alongside the professional knowledge and understanding needed to become a teacher.

During the first year, trainees are based in one placement school. In the second year, they move to a different school, allowing them to gain experience in two school settings and work with different teachers and mentors.

The part-time route follows a similar structure to our full-time programme but spreads the training across two academic years. It may be suitable for those who wish to train as a teacher while balancing other commitments.

The part time route is available across all Primary and Secondary ITT courses but is not available on the Apprenticeship route.
