Meet the Team

Becky Ellers - Director of Partnership

Becky has been involved in BP SCITT since it opened in 2013 as Head of the Lead Primary School. She took over as Director in 2016. Becky started her teaching career in 1997 and has taught in schools in London and Buckinghamshire. She worked for several years as a Consultant at Buckingham Education Authority before taking up her first headship in 2009. Becky was awarded National Leader in Education status in 2015.

Lynwen Cater - Deputy Director of Partnership

Lynwen joined the BP SCITT team in 2017 to fulfill the new role of Deputy Director. She has been teaching since 1996 in schools across Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire.  Lynwen has taught in both the Primary and Secondary sectors and her last post was as Deputy Head of a large Primary school in the local area. She has worked closely with the BP SCITT since 2015 as a Quality Assurer and also enjoys teaching in the English Department of the Royal Latin School alongside her BP SCITT role.

Nell Payne - Lead QA Tutor and Mentor Support

Nell has been part of BP SCITT since it opened in 2013 and was appointed as Lead QA Tutor in 2015. She has been teaching since 1999 and has always been passionate about teacher training, working as a mentor and quality assurer across a number of ITT providers in Buckinghamshire, Bedford and London for more than 15 years. Nell currently works as a PE teacher at the Royal Latin School and also works in various contexts for one of the big exam boards.

Clare Haly - Quality Assurer

Clare has been teaching for fifteen years, having experience in a number of roles both in UK and New Zealand. Secondary trained, Clare also has experience in Primary and Early Years and prior to teaching worked in Publishing.

Clare has been involved in teacher training throughout her career; her most recent school leadership post centred around staff coaching and mentoring, and improving classroom practice. Clare will be taking a lead on the Assessment Only route in her QA role.

Laura has worked as Office Manager and Finance Officer for the SCITT since 2014. Prior to moving to the UK in 2012, Laura lived in Washington DC and grew up in Portugal. Her previous employment was at the British Embassy in Lisbon as events organiser for the Ambassador.

Olivia Lewis - SCITT Admissions and Training Coordinator

Olivia joined the SCITT team in June 2018 as Training and Admissions Administrator having spent the last three years working in a local primary school. She has previously worked for the London School of Economics and The Open University.
