Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At the Buckingham Partnership equality, diversity and inclusion are central to who we are and how we prepare future teachers. We are committed to fair access to teacher training and to creating an inclusive environment in which all trainees feel valued, supported and able to succeed.

We believe that a diverse teaching workforce strengthens education and better reflects the communities and pupils served by our partnership schools. We actively work to remove barriers to entry, value individual backgrounds and experiences, and promote a strong sense of belonging throughout recruitment, training and school placements.

Our commitment to inclusion is embedded across all aspects of our provision, including transparent recruitment processes, high-quality mentoring and pastoral support, inclusive curriculum design, and close partnership working with schools to ensure consistent support for all trainees.

We are committed to continuous reflection and improvement. By listening to trainee voice feedback, analysing data and working collaboratively with our partners, we strive to ensure BP SCITT remains an inclusive, supportive and aspirational place to train to teach.
