Recruitment and Access

As a provider we are committed to inclusive and equitable recruitment processes that ensure teaching is accessible to a wide range of applicants. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences and are dedicated to removing barriers that may prevent individuals from accessing teacher training.

Our recruitment processes are designed to be fair, transparent and supportive. We aim to assess applicants on their potential to become effective teachers, recognising that strengths and experiences may be developed through a variety of academic, professional and personal pathways.

We encourage applications from under-represented groups, including career changers, applicants from the Global Majority, disabled applicants and those with non-traditional routes into teaching. We are happy to discuss individual circumstances and provide guidance throughout the application process.

Reasonable adjustments are available at all stages of the recruitment process, including application, interview and during the induction process. We are committed to ensuring that all applicants are treated with dignity and respect and feel confident that support will be available throughout training.

If you would like to discuss your application or access needs before applying, we welcome early contact and are happy to offer confidential advice and support at any point during the process. Please contact Olivia Lewis olewis@royallatin.org
